Our 50% Iberian Breed Acorn-Fed Iberian Ham is distinguished by its delicate marbling of fat, which gives it a beautifully marbled appearance and exceptional juiciness, along with a smooth and refined texture. It comes from the finest Iberian pigs, raised freely during the montanera season and fed exclusively on acorns. Its minimum curing period is 42 months.
This ham has a high content of monounsaturated fatty acids, especially oleic acid—similar to that found in olive oil—which helps maintain healthy cholesterol levels. It is also a rich source of protein, vitamin B1, iron, zinc, and magnesium, making it a completely natural and nutritious product.

The 50% Iberian breed acorn-fed ham from Hermanos Hoyos is crafted from pigs raised in Spain—crossbreeds of pure Iberian pigs and other selected breeds. These animals enjoy a balanced diet that includes acorns, giving the ham its distinctive flavor and tenderness in every bite. The curing process is meticulous, with an aging period exceeding two years, resulting in a smooth texture and just the right amount of fat marbling to enhance its flavor.
Each ham is carefully selected and cured for over three years, developing a rich and complex flavor profile. The meat is lean and tender, with delicate fat infiltration that delivers a truly unique taste.

RECOMMENDATIONS:

Cover the cut surface with the ham's own fat or a clean cloth to prevent it from drying out.

Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct light and drafts, at a temperature between 15°C and 25°C.

Slice only what is needed for each serving, keeping the rest covered to preserve its flavor and texture.

Turn the ham once a section is finished to ensure even slicing from both sides.
